Additionally Henlopen Acres while maintaining some acreage of private beach and beach facilities, shares beach access along with The Pines at Deauville and Whisky Beaches, and at North Shores and the State Park Gordon’s Pond entrance.
Henlopen Acres runs through shaded streets and more open streets with a mix of mature landscaping and a mix of suburban older single family homes and beach cottages. The Rehoboth Art League maintains its headquarters in Henlopen Acres.
The Rehoboth-Lewes Canal winds its way through Henlopen Acres from the City of Rehoboth toward Lewes behind the seashore. There is public parking (pay by the day or season) at all The Pines and North Shores beaches. Some homes in Henlopen Acres come with boat moorings along the Rehoboth-Lewes Canal.
While Henlopen Acres, like all Rehoboth Beach neighborhoods is a lovely neighborhood to walk and bicycle around (some small hills), Henlopen Acres is a bicycle ride, scooter, or car ride to the restaurants and shops of the town center.
